The real person behind the name Charlie design is fashion designer Loredana Bahorić. In 1987 she graduated Clothing design from Zagreb Faculty of Textile Technology and actively designes fashion clothing ever since. She opened her first store in Šibenik, her birthplace, in 1987, two years later also in Zagreb.

Because of her individual approach she soon becoame one of the most influential and intriguing names on the Croatian fashion scene. Today Charlie design employs 8 people and has numerous collaborators. It’s foundation consists of Loredana as a designer,her husband Branko as a manager,and their son Tomi, who also works on men’s fashion brand Spirit by T.B.

Loredana transforms her own fashion philosophy and a unique way of thinking into clothing therefore creating a recognizable brand -Charlie Design.

Her visual language is built on contrasts: play between transparent and rich; finished and unfinished; and seemingly incopattible; she creates compelling mixes with her distinguished style and her consistent cosmopolitan “handwritting”. Her use of non-colors are geometrical forms is wearable and functional.

Her work is defined by minimalism, monochromatic with a shift of avant garde and elements of deconstruction - her models get an additional touch with a handmade finish. Leitmotif of her work is the outfit which with an appropriate styling, looks good from the morning until evening.
